Maple Road Traffic Shift

Maple Road traffic will be impacted for short periods of time, between September 19 and November 1, due to the installation of Maple Cove utilities and street.  A traffic shift located  between Clark Street and the Saline Library will maintain the two through lanes.

MDEQ Sampling Results

The City of Saline is extremely pleased to announce that the results from the recent MDEQ sampling of the City of Saline treated drinking water have been received and the results are below the level of detection.  The Lifetime Health Advisory for the chemicals PFOA and PFOS is 70 parts per trillion and the City’s water supply tested at the “ND – Not Detected” level for these compounds.

City of Saline WWTP Odor Project Update

A progress meeting was held with the contractor on August 30.  The contractor has executed purchase orders with their suppliers, and the procurement of necessary equipment is underway.  Work has started including excavation and concrete for the foundations for the odor control and generator.  Construction of much of the duct work is scheduled to begin in October.

Mill Pond Park - R.O.M.P. Structure Maintenance

The Mill Pond Park R.O.M.P. play structure will be closed for maintenance work from Tuesday, September 4th to Sunday, September 16th

During this period, the structure will be cleaned, repaired, and re-sealed.  It is important to stay off the structure while the sealant is curing. 

 The play structure is scheduled to reopen on Monday, September 17, 2018, weather permitting.

City of Saline Drinking Water Update

The City of Saline has been made aware of a number of concerns from residents regarding the municipal drinking water quality.  The testing (daily & weekly) of the City drinking water supply continues to reflect safe, high quality results and no evidence of bacteria or any other potential contaminants that may cause the water to be unsafe to drink.

WWTP Odor Abatement Project

On April 16, 2018, the Saline City Council awarded a construction contract to E&L Construction Group of Flint, Michigan to complete the odor control system at the Saline Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).  The contractor recently presented a formal schedule for the project at the pre-construction meeting that was conducted on June 11th
