Loose Leaf Collection

The City of Saline’s Loose-Leaf Collection Program will begin Monday, October 30, 2017. The Department of Public Works (DPW) will utilize equipment to collect the leaf piles and deliver to nearby fields for composting.

Collection Schedule

  • Mondays/Tuesdays - North of Michigan Avenue
  • Thursdays/Fridays - South of Michigan Avenue

* Residents are not guaranteed that their leaves will be picked up each week on these days. Occasionally other work demands will prevent the DPW from clearing the entire City in a given week.

Residents must have all leaves raked out to the curb by Sunday, December 3rd. Starting Monday, December 4th, the DPW will make a final pass through each street collecting leaves.

Leaves not at the curb by Sunday, December 3rd will not be collected.

  • Move vehicle from street on collection days.
  • Do not rake leaves over catch basin grates.
  • Do not put tree brush, limbs, bushes, plants, flowers, etc. into leaf piles. Leaves will not be collected if any of these items are placed in leaf pile.
  • Do not park over leaf piles.
  • Do not bag leaves for loose leaf collection.
