The USTA 10 & Under Tennis program utilizes a smaller net and low compression balls to teach the basic skills and principles of the game. The instructor will incorporate fun drills and games that focus on controlling the racquet, rallying, serving and receiving. Racquets are available to borrow. Students must wear athletic shoes and bring a water bottle. Classes are held in the Saline Rec Center gymnasium.

The Pee Wee Sports clinic will give your preschooler a taste of different sports each week with this mini gym class. Examples of sports covered include t-ball, floor hockey, soccer, kickball and more! Parents are invited to participate. All participants will receive a t-shirt. This program will be held in the Rec Center gym. Instructor: Kevin Taylor. Pee Wee Sports Clinic is held in the fall, winter and spring seasons.

Michigan Futsal Factory Academy is an elite training program that focuses on developing players through Futsal (version of indoor soccer). We focus on all parts of the game (technical, tactical, physical, and psychological) and provide an environment in which players can be challenged but also find success. This is a fun learning environment that develops a passion for the game. Classes are held in the Saline Rec Center gymnasium.

This class will introduce children to the sport of tumbling. Participants will learn different movements on mats, such as somersaults, log rolls, bridges and tumbling. This class will also emphasize building social skills, self esteem and body position. Classes will be taught by a USA Gymnastics nationally certified instructor from Gym America. Tumbling Tots is held in the fall, winter and spring seasons.

This playgroup is a great way to meet other children. Your little one can play with miniature sports equipment, tunnels, ride-on toys and more. Bounce on the moonwalk the last Thursday of each month. Parents or caregivers are responsible for supervising their children. Members, adults (gym play group only) and children under 6 months are free. Playgroups do not meet during Saline Schools’ winter, spring & summer breaks. Location: Rec Center.

Boys and girls will learn basic fundamentals of baseball and softball in this instructional league. Teams will be coached by parents using a variety of skills and drills to get these future ball players off to a fun start in learning how to play ball. Games will be played the last 3-4 classes of the session. Balls, helmets, bats, T’s, and bases are provided. If you have a glove please bring it, as we have a limited number available. Fee includes a t-shirt. Parents: please sign up to coach when you register your child. A staff member will be on site each week to help. T-ball is held during the summer.

This program is designed to be your child's first experience with soccer and team sports. The primary goal is to have fun! This program is a fun introduction to the team sport of soccer. Children will learn basic soccer skills and rules of the game using fun drills and activities. As skills develop, we will divide the children into small teams for games. Parent volunteers are needed to help with drills and games. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
