Preschool Pumpkin Hunt

Tuesday, October 17 at 10am at the Saline Rec Center

Preschoolers will go on a mini pumpkin hunt on Miller Field behind the Rec Center. After they find their perfect pumpkin, they will be able to decorate and take it home. Children will also enjoy a story told by one of the Saline District Library’s own storytellers. A snack will be served. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Boo Bash

Join us for the 26th Halloween event at the Rec Center. Costumes are encouraged for the whole family. Register early as this event sells out every year!  Must pre-register as this event sells out!  No walk-ins. Ages 1 and under free.

The Great Pumpkin Roll

Saturday, November 4, 9am at Mill Pond Park

Bring your old Jack-O-Lantern to Mill Pond Park for a little fall fun. You’ll race your pumpkin against others in this 12th annual competition. Winners will get a fun mystery prize and everyone will enjoy hot cider, donuts, a pumpkin launcher and some laughs! The event sponsor, Waste Management will have an antique truck on site for the kids to see. Make sure you bring your camera! No need to pre-register. This event is FREE!

Mother & Son Rock N Bowl

Saturday, November 11, 1-4pm at Maplewood Lanes

This event is perfect fun for all moms and their sons to spend a special afternoon together. Couples will enjoy two games of bowling, pizza and pop, great music, glow lights and more. Shoes are included. The event will take place at Maplewood Lanes on Woodland Drive.

PJs & Stories with Santa

Thursday, December 7 at the Saline Rec Center

Santa is inviting all good little boys and girls to the Rec Center for a very special evening of holiday fun. Wear your favorite pajamas and get cozy as one of the Saline District Library's storytellers reads some holiday stories. We will sing songs, do crafts and enjoy milk, cookies and hot chocolate. Bring your camera for your chance to visit with Santa!

Kids Night Out

Friday, December 8, 5-10pm at the Saline Rec Center

Parents: Get your last minute shopping done or just spend some quality time with your spouse or friends in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season! Leave your kids at the Rec Center where they will have a blast with the staff making crafts, watching movies, playing games in the gym and swimming. Best of all, it’ll cost less than hiring a babysitter! Ages 5-12. A pizza dinner is included. Participants should wear athletic shoes and bring their bathing suits and a towel.

The refund policy is listed in the Saline Rec Center Member Handbook.  Note: refund requests for special events must be submitted prior to the day of the event and are subject to an administrative fee.  Refunds will not be issued for those requests submitted the day of the event or after the event is held.
