Full-Time Superindendent Water Production and Wastewater 

 

The City of Saline is accepting applications for a full-time Superintendent of Water Production and  Wastewater Treatment to supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of the City’s Pollution Control and Water Production Facilities, including treatment and laboratory analysis of wastewater, operation of pump and lift substations, and inspecting and maintaining water production areas. Responsible for proper maintenance of equipment, as well as recommending and overseeing physical plant improvements. Assists with preparation of engineering plans and specifications.   Develops and monitors annual budget, department policies and procedures. Recruits, trains, motivates, counsels, and disciplines department employees.

 

7 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in a water/wastewater regulatory environment, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience. Class A wastewater license preferred; Class B required. Class D-2 water or higher required within 12 months. Class S-2 water distribution, or higher preferred, within 12 months of hire.  Salary starting range is $75,873 - $97,686 DOQ, includes competitive benefits package. Must possess excellent customer service skills. Available shifts include Monday through Saturday: early morning, mid-day and evening. 8 to 20 hours per week. Must be 18 or older.
